  • Vehicles are not permitted on Tuesday as Rohtang Pass is closed for maintenance every Tuesday. 
Documents Needed for a Printed Tourist Permit:
  1. Verifiable Identification
  2. Car Registration Date and Pollution Under Check (PUC) Certificate.
Permit Fees:
  1. Car and Jeep: INR 500 with an additional INR 50 for congestion.
  2. Congestion charge (INR 500 + 50) for MUVs, Buses and HMV: INR 500 plus additional INR 100 for congestion.
Particular Authorization:
  1. One day only, just for private automobiles. 
  2. Only 40 diesel and 60 petrol vehicles are permitted passage into the pass each day.
Documents (in printed form) Needed for Special Permit:
  1. Verifiable Identification.
  2. Certificate of Pollution Under Check (PUC).
  3. Date of Vehicle Registration.
  4. Verification of Hotel Reservation.
Fees for Permits:
  • Congestion charge of INR 500 + 50 for cars and jeeps.
  • Congestion charge (INR 500 + 50) for MUVs.
  • The congestion charge for buses and HMV is INR 500 plus 100.
